Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (Terms of Use / EULA) govern your use of Loot Drops. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these terms.

01 — Acceptance

Agreement to Terms

These Terms govern your access to and use of Loot Drops (the App), operated by Loot Drops (we, us, or our). By using the App, you confirm you are legally able to enter this agreement and agree to follow these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

02 — Service Description

What Loot Drops Does

Loot Drops helps you discover and track video game prices. Features may include:

  • Searching for games and viewing game metadata and pricing data
  • Tracking games in a personal wishlist
  • Setting preferences for price-drop notifications
  • Receiving alerts when a tracked game reaches your target price
  • Viewing third-party store and deal information for comparison purposes

The App is an information and tracking tool. We do not sell games directly.

03 — Third-Party Data

External APIs & Data Sources

Loot Drops relies on third-party sources for game and price information. We do not control and cannot guarantee the accuracy, availability, or timeliness of third-party data.

RAWG
Game metadata including titles, images, genres, and platform details
ITAD
Historical and comparative game pricing data across stores
CheapShark
Current deal and discount information from supported stores

Prices and availability can change quickly and may differ at checkout. Always verify final purchase terms directly with the store.

Loot Drops does not own third-party store listings and does not process purchases from those stores. Purchases happen on external platforms.

04 — Acceptable Use

Permitted and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to misuse the App. For example, you must not:

  • Use the App for unlawful activity
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where law permits
  • Use bots, scraping, or abusive automation that harms the service
  • Interfere with security, infrastructure, or normal operation of the App
  • Impersonate others or submit fraudulent information
05 — Intellectual Property

Ownership and License

Loot Drops, including our branding, software, and original content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party names, logos, and game artwork remain property of their respective owners.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

06 — Paid Subscriptions

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions on iOS

Loot Drops may offer paid auto-renewable subscriptions for premium features.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account through Apple In-App Purchase at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings under your Apple ID Subscriptions.
  • Subscription price, trial (if offered), and renewal period are shown in the App and on the App Store product page at purchase.
  • Apple manages billing, renewals, and refunds; Loot Drops does not directly control Apple's subscription billing systems.

07 — Apple Standard EULA

Licensed Application End User License Agreement

08 — Disclaimers

No Warranties

The App is provided on an AS IS and AS AVAILABLE basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or complete accuracy of third-party data shown in the App.

09 — Limitation of Liability

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid (if any) for the App subscription in the 12 months before the claim.

10 — Changes to Terms

Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice in the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11 — Governing Law

Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of your local jurisdiction and the jurisdiction in which Loot Drops operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussions.

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:

Information Collected Automatically

When you use Loot Drops, we may automatically collect:

  • Device and app data (device type, iOS version, app version, locale)
  • Crash and diagnostic information to identify and fix problems
  • Analytics events that help us understand feature usage
  • Push notification token used to deliver alerts you request

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use third-party ad networks in Loot Drops.

03 — Subscription Data (RevenueCat)

How Subscription Processing Works

For subscription features, purchases are processed by Apple In-App Purchase. We use RevenueCat to help process purchase events and determine subscription/entitlement status.

  • RevenueCat may process app user identifiers and purchase event metadata
  • This helps us verify active premium access, restore purchases, and support subscription reliability

04 — Third-Party Game Data Providers

APIs Used for Prices and Metadata

Loot Drops relies on third-party APIs for game details and deal information:

RAWG API
Game metadata, imagery, platform info. Policy: rawg.io/privacy
ITAD API
Price history and store comparison data. Policy: isthereanydeal.com/privacy
CheapShark API
Current deals and discount information. Site: cheapshark.com

When you search or view prices, request metadata may be processed by these services under their own terms and policies.

05 — Why We Use Data

Purposes and Legal Basis

We use data to provide and improve Loot Drops, including to:

  • Create and maintain your account and wishlist
  • Send price-drop notifications you opt into
  • Process subscriptions and restore premium access
  • Maintain security, troubleshoot crashes, and improve app quality
  • Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations

Where required by law, we rely on legal bases such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations.

06 — Data Retention

How Long We Keep Data

We keep personal data as long as needed for service operation and legitimate business or legal reasons.

  • Account and wishlist data are kept while your account is active
  • After deletion requests, we remove or anonymize data within a reasonable period
  • Some records may be retained when required for legal, accounting, anti-fraud, or security purposes

Who We Share Data With

We may share limited personal data with:

  • Service providers that help operate the App (for example hosting, subscription management, diagnostics, and analytics)
  • Legal authorities where disclosure is required by law or legal process
  • A successor entity in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer

We do not sell your personal data.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Loot Drops is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe such data was provided, contact us and we will investigate and take appropriate action.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
